Academic Credentials of Undergraduate Applicants

Undergraduate students entering the Frost School of Music have outstanding musical and academic credentials:

  •  Average composite SAT score of 1300; ACT 29 (math/critical reading)
  •  A competitive academic profile

Academic Requirements and Renewal Process

Once accepted and enrolled, a Stamps Ensemble Scholar must complete a full-time program of study in the Frost School of Music, that is, no fewer than 12 credit hours during each of the fall and spring semesters for a minimum of 24 credit hours per academic year. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 must be maintained at the University of Miami, with the initial calculation at the end of the first semester of attendance.

A Stamps Ensemble Scholar must, on an annual basis, complete and submit by the priority deadline of February 1st all appropriate application materials and forms for federal and state sources of financial assistance.
