Once officially accepted and enrolled as a Stamps Ensemble Scholar at the Frost School of Music, your musical life will broaden and grow deeper. You will interface with new colleagues that will become lifelong friends. You will share the stage in incredible performances with both your Stamps Distinguished Ensemble as well as the outstanding large ensembles of the Frost School of Music.  You will be groomed for musical leadership roles both at Frost in the music world at large.

The Frost School of Music and the University of Miami have a code of conduct for all students, which Stamps Ensemble Scholars are expected to adhere to at all times. Stamps Ensemble Scholars are role models for younger students and represent the entire Frost School of Music when they perform at special functions throughout the community.

Enrollment and GPA Requirements

A Stamps Ensemble Scholar must complete a full-time program of study in the Frost School of Music. A full-time program of study is no fewer than 12 credit hours during each of the fall and spring semesters for a minimum of 24 credit hours per academic year. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 must be maintained with the initial evaluation of this standard at the end of the second semester of attendance.  

Private Lessons

A Stamps Ensemble Scholar must have a minimum grade in private lessons of 2.7 (B-) each semester.
