About the Stamps Scholars National Convention

Between 250 and 300 current and former Stamps Scholars and administrators from the 24 colleges and universities who have partnered with the Stamps Scholars program are invited biennially to attend a weekend-long convention called the Stamps Scholars National Convention (SSNC), hosted by participating universities.

These gatherings provide highly enjoyable social and networking opportunities and leadership training sessions with other Stamps Scholars from around the country. With broad themes of leadership and exploring critical issues, the SSNC is thought-provoking and engaging.

The vision is for Stamps Scholars to learn concepts that they will be able to incorporate into their own lives and share with students in their own university communities. Stamps Ensembles Scholars participate in all sessions and are also often invited to perform.

Convention Schedule

The weekend convention usually begins on a Friday evening with dinner and activities. Saturday’s sessions focus on networking and collaboration, community service, leadership, teamwork, and creative problem-solving. Facilitators for Saturday’s programs include notable business and community leaders and distinguished professors and researchers. Following a festive dinner Saturday night, a talent show featuring extraordinary Stamps Scholars often takes place.

Convention Costs

All Stamps Ensemble Scholars are expected to attend. The Stamps Scholars Program provides funding for the cost of the convention, including transportation and hotel.

Upcoming Dates for the Convention

March 31st - April 2nd in Georgia Tech.
