Academic Credentials of Undergraduate Applicants

Undergraduate students entering the Frost School of Music have outstanding musical and academic credentials:

  • A rigorous review of both prescreens and auditions by Frost faculty
  • A competitive academic profile as determined by the University of Miami Office of Admission review process

Application Process

CURRENTLY ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS

The Frost School of Music at the University of Miami is now accepting applications for french horn, trombone, two trumpet, and tuba to form the full scholarship four-year undergraduate Stamps Brass Quintet, with enrollment beginning Fall 2024.

Application deadline: December 1, 2023

To be eligible for consideration for a Stamps Ensemble Scholarship Award, applicants need to apply to both the University of Miami and the Frost School of Music by the application deadline as well as pass an audition for the Frost School of Music.

Selection Process

The faculty of the Frost School of Music, based on music auditions and academic achievement, recommends the final award selection for Stamps Ensemble Scholarships. 

The Frost School of Music Office of Admission then notifies the selected students in writing that they are being offered a Stamps Ensemble Scholarship and placement in a respective Stamps Distinguished Ensemble.  Students must formally accept the offer.
